Norris Moore hesitated at first whether to wait before going downstairs, not wanting to scare Rufus Swallow, but after hearing Trenton Smith's words, she couldn't hold back any longer and walked down the stairs, "Trenton Smith, don't go too far, always picking on Rufus."
Upon hearing the voice, Rufus Swallow felt struck by lightning and instinctively twisted his head toward the staircase.
His pupils contracted slightly due to the intense shock.
Trenton Smith walked over, embraced her in his arms, and whispered, "Why did you come down?"
"It was too boring upstairs by myself," said Norris Moore, pausing for a moment. She glanced at Rufus Swallow, who stood frozen in place, and whispered, "Is this a bad time for me to be here?"
Rufus Swallow walked over and pulled Norris Moore out of Trenton Smith's arms. His gaze fell on her face, his blue pupils constantly contracting. His fingers gripped Norris's wrist tightly, causing pain.
