After lunch, Liam Swallow asked her if she could go out for a walk with him. Norris Moore could tell that he wanted to play the role of a father for a bit, but she really couldn't keep it up and, ignoring Liam Swallow's momentarily disappointed expression, she turned and left the restaurant.
Norris Moore went to the restroom and vomited up the steak she had ingested; her stomach was convulsing. The beef she had eaten felt as heavy as rocks, causing her to feel sick and nauseous.
She called Tilly Flower from inside the restroom.
Five minutes later, Tilly Flower came down, and seeing Norris Moore's face turn pale as she held her stomach and leaned against the wall, her own expression changed. She quickly walked over, helped her up, and accompanied her outside the church.
Tilly Flower drove her to the nearest public hospital, and after a series of tests, the diagnosis was reported: gastric spasm.
