Norris Moore woke up to find herself alone in the bed.
The bed was hard, but she had slept comfortably for the past two days.
She lay in bed, feeling too lazy to move, when she heard the sound of water. She pricked up her ears and listened for a while, guessing that someone must be washing clothes.
Could that person really be so poor, that now she had nothing to wear except for the patient's clothing she had worn from the hospital?
What about the clothes inside?
Was that person washing hers now?
Norris Moore seriously considered it for a moment, feeling entirely unsettled by the thought.
So, when that person came in after hanging up the clothes, she couldn't help but speak up, "I should wash my own clothes."
He glanced at Norris Moore, who was a mess of embarrassment yet trying to appear calm.
"I can wash them myself, you don't have to trouble yourself."
He raised an eyebrow and went to boil some water.
Norris Moore knew he was going to make instant noodles again.
