When it was time to sleep at night, Amelia came over to reapply medicine on Norris's palm.
Amelia gave her two sleeping pills and watched her take them. Only then did she gently touch Norris's face and said softly, "Rest well, Norris. If your wound hurts, painkillers are on the bedside."
Norris lay on the bed, her face was pale, perhaps due to her numerous health problems. Her delicate eyebrows looked somewhat tired. Hearing Amelia's words, she nodded and obediently responded: "Okay."
Amelia put away the medicine box, turned off the light, and went out.
Out in the corridor, Alex was leaning against the wall, smoking with his head down. He looked up when he saw her coming out.
Amelia approached and whispered, "You should rest too. We are going to the hospital after lunch tomorrow."
They hadn't arranged for a doctor yet, and there would be a heap of things to do for hospital procedures tomorrow.
They should get some rest soon.
