She leaned weakly against the man's chest, listening to his steady heartbeat. He was still rational, everything was under his control, and nothing had changed for him. He was still Trenton Smith, superior to everyone, while she remained Norris, helpless in his shadow.
Whether it was five years ago or five years later, time hadn't changed anything.
She found it absurd and laughable, yet she was powerless.
