Rufus seemed a bit surprised by what she said and asked in a low voice, "Did my father's words upset you?"
Norris shook her head: "No. I just simply want to go back. You don't have to send me, I can take a taxi back by myself."
"There are no taxis around here." Rufus glanced at her, "I'll take you back."
Norris hesitated for a moment and glanced at the thick snow outside, slightly pursing her lips.
She really wanted to leave, but it felt wrong to trouble Rufus to take her to the remote villa in this snowy weather.
She hesitated again: "Then maybe..."
Rufus laughed and ruffled her hair: "It's okay. I'll just drive slowly."
In the hall, Nakamura saw her son helping the woman put on her down jacket, looking like they were about to leave. She walked up and called out, "Rufus, where are you going?"
"I'm taking Norris back."
Nakamura grabbed Rufus' hand, "Didn't you promise to stay here with me this week?"
