After all these years, she didn't know how Norris Moore had gotten by and was now standing here, calm as a still pond.
"I haven't had breakfast." Tilly Flower shook her head, her voice soft, "Shall I go get you something to eat?"
"Ava went out to get breakfast for me," Norris Moore chuckled, "she should have bought extra. Let's eat together."
"Okay." Tilly Flower agreed, watching Norris Moore finish her milk and then turned to wash the cup in the kitchen. She watched her retreating figure, then slowly and deeply sighed.
Rufus Swallow leaned against the couch, resting his eyes; however, his handsome face carried a tinge of cold gloom.
When Norris Moore and Tilly Flower had finished their breakfast and Fish Yummy got up to clear the table, she heard the sound of a car engine. She looked up and said to Norris Moore, "Sister Moore, someone's coming."
Norris Moore lifted her head from the couch and saw Liam Swallow striding hurriedly in from the courtyard.
