Trenton Smith looked up and watched Norris Moore walk in step by step from outside the door.
It had been a week since he last saw her, and she still looked the same.
Her hair was scattered, making her delicate face appear even more petite. The weather had gotten a bit colder lately, so her skirt was a bit thicker. In a dark brown, off-shoulder cotton dress, the waist down was quite billowy, hardly showing her pregnant figure.
She just stood there, glanced at him briefly, then slowly looked away, seemingly a bit tired, and sighed softly.
She walked over and asked Rufus Swallow, "Are you injured?"
Rufus's face looked awful, and he growled at her, "Why the hell did you come back?! Didn't I tell you to leave?"
"Where would I go?" she looked up at him and silently laughed, "Tokyo? I'm unfamiliar with that place, and I don't even know where to get off." But despite her words, she hadn't thought about leaving when she found out that Trenton had been looking for her.
