After a long time, Philip Shaw slowly spoke, "Aldana... don't deceive me with such things."
His voice in the elevator sounded somewhat dull and hoarse. The handsome and elegant face of the man was shrouded in gloom.
Aldana thought, he still cared after all.
The reason he had been constantly entangled with her was that he thought she was fabricating lies to deceive him.
She couldn't help but find it a bit amusing. If he knew that all of this was true, would he be disgusted to death?
"In the past five years, you have been investigating me. You should have found out that I had disappeared for a month indeed." Aldana's gaze fell into the void, her tone very light, somewhat indifferent, "Those charred bodies you found," she looked up at him, "were those men. I may not be very attractive, but I am a young woman after all. What would happen when they caught me, you're a man, you can't possibly not understand."
