Her eyes brimmed with misty bitterness, the heartache and grievance making her breath tremble. Trenton lowered his head and looked into her reddened eyes. Norris Moore's lips were tightly pursed, revealing an expression of sadness and loss of control.
He gazed at her for a moment, then let out a soft sigh, gently coaxing her, "Alright... It's getting late. Let's go to sleep, okay?"
"Trenton Smith..." she bowed her head, her voice weak. "I want to see Aldana."
"..."
"Just let me see that she's safe." She clutched his collar pitifully. "I haven't seen her in a long time. I want to take her to see her."
