By the time Norris received another call from Aldana, it had been ten days since Eric's disappearance.
On a summer afternoon, Aldana used Eric's phone to call her, "Norris, do you have time now? Eric is injured and needs emergency surgery."
Norris' hands were trembling, "Aldana, are you all right? Where are you now?"
"I'm fine." Aldana's voice was as gentle as she was. She whispered comfortingly, "I've worried you these past few days. I'm still in Tung City." She gave Norris an address, which she noted down. It was the house number of a hilltop villa in Tung City. Norris stood up from the sofa and whispered, "I'll come over now. Wait for me."
Aldana sighed softly inside. Norris didn't know her situation, but merely listening to her sigh made her feel a bit sad.
She had indeed suffered a lot.
But she didn't know when this suffering would end.
"Norris, I'm sorry to trouble you."
