Norris Moore chewed on a piece of candy, sneaking a glance at the empty medicine bowl, "No matter how improved the prescription is, it still tastes awful."
Trenton Smith chuckled softly, leaned down and pecked her cheek, "You won't have to drink it once you're better. Just bear with it for now, ok?"
Norris pushed him away, her voice flat and unemotional, "The pain I'm suffering now is all because of you."
Trenton's eyes flickered slightly, his smile fading as he walked up behind her, wrapped his arms around her and held her close.
He whispered softly, "I'm not asking for your forgiveness now. But I do beg that you give me another chance."
In the quiet air, his gentle voice seemed laden with deep emotion.
Norris curled her lips into a sarcastic smile and turned her back to him, pushing him away and heading to the edge of the bed, "I'm going to sleep now."
Trenton lightly grasped her wrist, his voice low and husky, "Norris, give me another chance."
He longed for her heart.
