The meal was eaten in silence.
The servants attended diligently from the side.
After finishing the pork rib soup Trenton Smith had served her, Norris Moore put down her chopsticks, "I should go back."
Trenton glanced at her, slowly swallowed the rice in his mouth, and said in a gentle tone, "Stay here tonight."
Norris stood up from the chair and shook her head at him, "I'll take a cab back."
Trenton looked up at her, her indifferent demeanor appearing somewhat indifferent and cold under the light.
His gaze slowly deepened, and the atmosphere in the dining room became rigid.
The servants waiting on the side could feel this unusual tension and held their breaths.,
But Norris didn't look at him and turned to leave the dining room.
Trenton sat there calmly for a while, then got up amidst the breathless servants and walked out of the room.
