Outside the car, Trenton Smith had already escorted Sherry White out. He hailed a taxi for her, saw her into it, and only walked toward the Bentley after the taxi had driven off.
Norris Moore, leaning against the car, sneered softly, "Why even bother? I can drive."
Trenton Smith got in the driver's seat and started the car but said nothing. He merely turned it around and drove towards the nearby hospital.

Norris Moore was carried out of the car by Trenton Smith.
"I don't want to go to the hospital," she protested angrily, struggling in his arms.
Trenton Smith held her, "You don't have to. Rufus Swallow said you were sick. What illness do you have?"
"You're the one who's sick," Norris Moore retorted. "Does being frigid count as an illness? I just can't sleep with you. Maybe I could do it just fine with other men..."
Trenton Smith's face immediately cooled, and, holding her more tightly, he walked into the hospital without a word.
