A hint of sarcasm formed slowly on Norris Moore's lips.
She didn't speak, simply took a tissue from her bag and slowly wiped the water stains off her face.
Abigail Moore walked over and stood beside her, looking at Norris with a faint expression of sadness. "Sis, are you blaming me?"
Norris raised her eyebrow and glanced at her.
"It's been so long since I've been back. How's Elias? Did Dad wake up?" Abigail's brows furrowed as she looked worried. "I've been worried about them while I was abroad, too."
Norris snorted with mock amusement. "Why don't you come visit them with me today, then?"
Abigail shook her head. "It's not...appropriate for me to go there with my current identity."
Norris laughed softly. "You really think highly of yourself, don't you?"
Her words were unavoidably harsh.
Abigail bit her lip, looking at Norris as if she had been deeply wounded. "Sis, you never used to talk to me like that."
Norris found her sister's false pretenses amusing.
