Trenton Smith set down his cigarette, got into bed, and gently held her cool body.
The two of them embraced and slept until noon.
The servants prepared lunch, and Norris Moore and Trenton Smith ate in the dining room.
Perhaps because she had felt cold that morning, Norris's complexion remained a bit pale after she woke up.
Trenton gently touched her face with his hand and Norris lowered her head to eat. She felt his touch, looked up and laughed, "What's wrong?"
"Not feeling well?"
"No," she spoke between bites of rice, "I'll be fine soon."
Except for her pallor, she didn't look ill. Trenton withdrew his hand and they quietly finished their lunch.
After eating, Norris was sitting on the sofa putting on her shoes. Trenton walked from the dining room, went over and wrapped his arm around her shoulder. "Shall I pick you up tonight?"
Norris gave a slight smile and replied, "Okay."
