She didn't like staying in the hospital, but she never complained about wanting to be discharged. Sometimes Rufus would take her for a walk in the specially designated garden for patients in the hospital. When she got tired, he would carry her back to sleep.
A week passed in the blink of an eye, and soon it was time for her to be discharged.
Norris put on makeup, changed out of her hospital gown, and soon looked energetic. Rufus opened the door and entered, watching as she sat on the sofa putting on high heels. He leaned against the door and asked, "What would you like to eat tonight?"
"Meat," Norris replied, fastening her shoe buckle. "I haven't eaten meat for a week, and my mouth is getting bland."
Rufus laughed, walked over and helped her put on her coat. "Okay, I'll take you to a Western restaurant and let you eat your fill."
