Norris Moore was still carried to bed by Trenton Smith to sleep.
Norris lay in bed, feeling the man's chest slowly press against her. His arm wrapped around her waist and held her from the back.
With her back against his chest, their heartbeats seemed to merge into one.
Norris stared blankly at the void for a while before slowly closing her eyes and falling asleep.
Although she didn't want to admit it, being gently held like this did feel better than sleeping alone.
This embrace might not belong to her, but it indeed made her feel warm.

The next day, both of them woke up from bed and couldn't cook, so Norris began to order takeout.
The man rolled over and pressed on her back, his head resting on her shoulder while watching her place the order. Norris elbowed Trenton's chest, "Too heavy."
