Norris Moore hung up the phone and approached Ava to let her know that Trenton was coming to join them for dinner. Hearing this, Ava panicked and got up from her chair, "Sister Moore, I think I should..."
Norris Moore gently responded, "He sincerely wants to pursue you. If you don't like him, let me know. I'll reject him on your behalf. After all, you were the one who was wronged last time. It's only fair that you accept some form of compensation from him, even if it's just a meal."
Ava sat down next to Norris, her little face expressing a bewildered panic.
She trusted Norris Moore completely, but the thought of Trenton's imminent arrival nevertheless made her heart race.
