Norris Moore sat on the bed for a moment, then slowly lowered her head and closed her eyes in trembling. She covered her mouth, preventing the choked sobs from spilling out and being heard by Ava.
She was in unbearable pain.
Wishing she could just kill herself.
She was always like this, repeatedly making mistakes, pushing the people around her towards irreversible situations.
Even though it was clearly her fault, it always required others to bear the harm.
The Moore family was one example, and Ava was another.
Norris got up from the edge of the bed, with great difficulty, she came to the door of the bathroom. She saw Ava kneeling beside the toilet, vomiting. Hearing her footsteps, Ava raised her head and called out weakly, "Sister Moore..."
Heartbroken, Norris Moore's tears couldn't help but fall. She walked over and hugged Ava's frail body closely, choking out, "Ava, I'm sorry, I'm so sorry..."
How is she to make amends for such devastation?
