Trenton Smith was determined to have Norris Moore and showed no restraint. If she had been there last night, even though she wouldn't have been able to stop him from taking Norris away in the future, she could have at least stopped him from taking her away that night.
Rufus Swallow said to Tilly Flower, "Her mood probably won't be very good for the next few days, so you should avoid her."
Tilly nodded, then looked up at Rufus, as if thinking of something, and asked softly, "Do you have feelings for her…"
Rufus glanced at her: "What?"
"Nothing." Tilly withdrew her gaze and smiled. She raised her hand and took a drag of her cigarette, "Just thinking, there will be a good show to watch in the future."
Rufus gave her a sidelong glance but didn't say anything, turning to go downstairs.
Tilly leaned against the wall, watching his retreating figure, and exhaled a smoke ring with a somewhat helpless smile.
