After spending the day with Elias until nearly evening and sending him back to his hospital room, Norris rode in Trenton Smith's car to return home.
"What do you want to eat tonight?"
They were driving past a bustling street filled with hotels and high-rise buildings. Trenton looked outside, considering where to take her to eat.
"I don't have much of an appetite." Norris leaned back on the car seat, her face showing a hint of tiredness.
"You still need to eat something even if you don't have an appetite." He remembered that she had only had a bowl of porridge today.
"But I want to go home and rest." She still refused.
"Norris."
He called her full name, his tone slightly displeased.
Opening her eyes, Norris seemed amused by this. Leaning back in her seat, she casually asked, "Has Mr. Smith always been so gentle and considerate?"
