Amelia Miller gently touched her face and asked softly, "Norris, did I make things difficult for you both?"
Norris Moore opened her eyes suddenly.
"If I hadn't courted death, you and Alex might already be abroad." Amelia sighed softly, "I'm sorry for both of you."
"What nonsense are you talking about," Norris looked at her, "What does it have to do with you? It's just that Alex and I are not meant to be together." She stood up, walked to the window, and looked at the flowers Amelia had just arranged. The tender roses were gorgeous in the sunlight, "Trenton Smith has been good to me. I'm content with how things are now."
After breaking up with Alex Miller, she had accepted this reality. She could not court death, she had no choice but to live well.
Time does not solve people's problems. It simply makes issues that once seemed unbearable become less important.
