By the time they drove back to the villa, the sun had already set in the west.
When Trenton Smith carried Norris into the house, the servants saw her bloodshot eyes. When Norris had returned the night before, there was an odd tension between the two of them. The servants noticed but didn't dare to say anything. Now Norris was returning home in tears, and they were all even more silent.
In their eyes, Trenton Smith had always doted on Norris.
Though they would sometimes have arguments, their relationship was usually harmonious.
But this time, with Trenton missing for so long and their relationship turning out like this, the servants couldn't help but feel that the couple was perhaps doomed to not last.
"Mr. Smith, should I start preparing dinner?" asked the cook in a low voice.
Trenton glanced at the listless Norris and said, "No need. We'll eat later." Then he carried her upstairs.
