Alex Miller was peeling shrimp for Norris Moore to eat. Evelyn Miller noticed that he wasn't eating and tapped his bowl with her chopsticks, "Can you finish your meal before serving others?"
"But the shrimp won't taste good once they're cold," he replied.
Evelyn rolled her eyes at him, clearly annoyed.
Norris quickly took the shrimp and began to peel it herself, "Alex, just eat. I can do it myself." She didn't find anything wrong with being spoiled by Alex since childhood.
Alex snatched the shrimp back, "My hands are already dirty, so I might as well peel it. If you feel guilty, you can feed me instead."
Norris choked on his words, and even Evelyn was somewhat speechless, touching her forehead with a helpless expression.
She had been defeated by Alex's persistence.
...
After dinner, Evelyn sent Alex to his study to review contracts.
"Auntie, don't take advantage of my absence to bully Norris," he reminded her before leaving.
