Norris Moore's body trembled slightly. She was trying to pull away, but Alex Miller held on tightly. His bright eyes watched her tear-filled ones. "The sea is just there. Norris, if you don't want it, just throw it away."
Throw it away?
How could she bear to do that?
Alex Miller looked at her: "Do you want me to help you throw it?"
Norris Moore shook her head: "Alex..."
Alex Miller said nothing and tried to snatch the ring from her hand. Norris Moore tightened her grip and resisted, but he managed to pry it from her. She let out a cry as she watched Alex lift his hand and throw the ring away.
Norris Moore's mind buzzed. Instinctively, she leapt out of his arms, wanting to jump down and retrieve the ring.
Alex swiftly grabbed her back, pulling her into his embrace. Norris Moore resisted him, pushing him away, and tearfully scolded him with a hoarse voice: "How could you... Bastard, how could you just throw it away!"
