Norris bit her lip, unable to speak out of heartache.
After a while, she let go of Abigail, and told her, "Wait, I'll pay your tuition within a week." She paused, "How much?"
Abigail's eyes were red, "Ten thousand."
The tuition for her major was expensive, costing fifteen thousand for just one semester.
She had been working part-time to earn money, but it was like a drop in the bucket. After all this time, she had only managed to save up five thousand.
Norris raised her hand, stroking Abigail's head, and said softly, "I'll transfer it to your card next week."
"Sis..." Abigail looked at her, biting her lip, feeling wronged and miserable, "Am I too useless?"
Norris smiled, "What nonsense are you talking about? I'm still waiting for you to become rich and famous to support me in my old age." She rubbed Abigail's hair vigorously, "Go back to your dorm now. I have to go too."
Only when Abigail's figure disappeared into the campus did Norris take her gaze back.
