Over there, Trenton Smith had already finished feeding her. He didn't look up but gently licked the spilled medicine off her pale lips. He slowly kissed her moist lips as if he was treating a rare treasure with the utmost tenderness and care.
It was only after a while that he slowly placed Norris Moore back onto the bed. His gaze fell upon her innocent and pale little face, and he gently caressed it, making Evelyn Miller feel somewhat surprised.
Her eyes darkened a bit. With the way Trenton was acting, it seemed impossible for him to let go of Norris.
"I'll take care of her here." Trenton looked at Evelyn, "If you're busy, I'll have someone send you back."
He was very polite.
Evelyn glanced at him, didn't say anything more, and went over to fix Norris's quilt. "I'm leaving now."
Trenton got up: "Let me see you out."
"No need." Evelyn frowned. "You don't have to be so polite, I'm not doing this for you."
