Father and Mother Song had happy smiles on their faces and nodded to the couple.
"My precious daughter looks so beautiful today!" Mother Song walked over and hugged Michelle, then sighed, "Seeing you both so happy makes us feel relieved."
Father Song, standing to the side, didn't say anything but handed a wooden box to Michelle.
"This is the wedding gift from your mom and me." Father Song explained.
Hearing this, Michelle hesitated for a moment before reaching out to take the box. Inside was a pair of sterling silver concentric locks...
"This is..." Michelle was surprised to see the concentric lock.
She had seen this lock when she was younger, and it had been treasured in her parents' bedroom. It was said to be a family heirloom, and her mother didn't allow her to touch it carelessly.
