"I just went out to take out the garbage, and then I ran into someone I knew, so we chatted for a bit." Michelle replied nonchalantly, her mind still reeling from the shock that Mila had just given her...
"Someone you know? A classmate?" As soon as he heard Michelle mention running into someone familiar, Branden instinctively asked further.
"Not a classmate. Guess who it is. You are more familiar with them than I am!" Michelle playfully asked her brother.
"Someone I'm very familiar with? Who could it be?" Branden shook his head, indicating that he couldn't remember at the moment.
None of his friends seemed to be close enough in age to Michelle to have a conversation with her!
"It's Mila!" Michelle bit her lips and decided to tell him honestly.
As soon as he heard the name "Mila," Branden's expression visibly changed.
