Scarlet split her eyes open at once and she saw Damien, her one ray of hope, standing and having a death glare on his face. His hand gripped a hooded person and Scarlet could tell immediately that it was the person who attacked her from behind.
He had come to save her, she thought and she couldn't be more relieved about it.
"Who are you?" She heard him ask as the person struggled to breathe while pushing at his hand.
Scarlet groaned a bit and made to stand up, but then, all of a sudden, she saw Damien's expression change to what seem like a surprised look. It was very visible and Scarlet was confused. Damien is the one who doesn't like showing his emotions, but here, he looks very surprised, like he had just seen a ghost.
His hand loosen from the person's neck immediately and Scarlet now became confused.
"What are...you doing?" She asked, unsure, and she saw how concentrated his eyes was on the person.
