She had made the conscious decision that she was going to avoid them at any cost. She didn't want to have to have any other interactions with him. Not then and not for a long time coming.
She felt sick to her stomach at the thought of what happened as she shook her head. One couldn't, they had been arguing, and the very next moment he had kissed her. But what had made the situation even worse was the fact that she had allowed him to kiss her. She felt like a complete fool for letting that happen and she wished that she was able to stay away from him and she hoped that she could take it back.
After their kiss, she realized that she couldn't stay in the room with anyone. Without warning she raced out of the tent and to make it worse she didn't miss the chuckle of amusement that she heard coming from him. She had realized that he had found her action comic. She needed to escape from everything and she found herself heading back towards the cove.
She didn't know why but she felt as though that was one of the places that she could go and get some relief. She wanted to get away from all of the drama as well as everything that was going on. It was becoming too much for her and she didn't know how she would be able to handle having to sleep in the same room as him for the next several weeks. She knew that the tension between them was bound to be high but she told herself that it would all work out in the end.
"Well look who we have here". She heard a voice call out. She turned around to find the same man that she had met earlier and she looked towards him with a raised eyebrow. Seeing him once was one thing but seeing him in the same place twice was less than a coincidence. She knew that something wasn't quite adding up.
"And let me guess. You also just came here because you want to have a breath of fresh air," she said to him and she watched as he shrugged his shoulders at her in response but he didn't refute her.
"Would it be inappropriate if I said that I was here hoping that I would get the chance to see my Luna again". He said with a mischievous grin. She rolled her eyes at him, narrowing her gaze.
"Yes, well I would say that it was extremely inappropriate. What would you say if the Alpha spotted you here?" She asked him.
"I would tell him that is as simply keeping the Luna company and the last time that I checked it wasn't a crime so he isn't allowed to prosecute me for that." He said to her firmly. She hummed at him in response but didn't say anything at all.
"Well, as long as you are going to stay quiet and you don't plan on disturbing me any further than you already have then I guess that it is alright. I guess that you can stay," she said to him.
She watched as he grinned at her brightly before he sat down beside her. She had to admit that despite how annoying he was and how hard he seemed to push all of her buttons. She wasn't entirely against his presence there. She would even say that she almost found it amusing.
"So what is your story, Luna." He asked her and she looked towards him curiously as she raised an eyebrow at him.
"You know how you ended up here. Everyone has a story and everyone has a take to rell so how about you tell me yours." He asked her and she felt her body stiffen as she came to the realization of what story he was referring to. She felt her heartbeat quickened as she sucked in a deep breath.
"Yes well, I don't know how about you tell me what is your own story first". She said to him in a challenging tone.
She said and was surprised when his gaze seemed to soften and she didn't expect for him to go through with it.
She watched as he sucked in a deep breath before looking over at her intently. "Well, I wasn't born here. I don't know where I came from to be exact but I was found abandoned at the border as a small boy. I had no recollection of where I came from but when the Alpha had been told to get rid of me he had refused and he had seen potential in me. He had chosen to give me a second chance at life and because of that, I owe him everything. I wouldn't be here without him. In reality, I wouldn't be anywhere without him." He said to her and she couldn't help but widen her eyes at his words. She hadn't expected him to say that to her.
She felt as though she had judged him wrongly and as they sat there longer she felt herself warming up to him. Eventually, she felt as though she had enough. It was time for her to head back as she made her way back to the Alpha's tent.
As she stepped inside she tensed at the sound of his gruff voice. "Where have you been and why do you smell like another make". He growled.
She felt her heart palpate against her chest at his words as something told her that she had to choose her words wisely if she wanted to end well. If not she knew that this wasn't going to go well for her.
But from the way that his chest rose and dropped rapidly something told her that he had already assumed the worst of her. She just had to find a way to get herself out of it.
