Chereads / REVENGE OF THE MATED LUNA / Chapter 6 - CHAPTER SIX

Chapter 6 - CHAPTER SIX

Erica was pulled out of her thoughts when she felt him slowly let go of her as she pulled away. She felt as though she could finally breathe properly again as a light blush coated her cheeks.

"Well, I guess that it is settled then." They heard a voice call out from in front of them and it felt as though she was finally snapped out of her revert.

She let out a sigh as she slowly nodded her head. "You will return with him to his people and we hope that the two of you will settle down and work on your disagreements. The deal is off if you aren't able to convince the people that the two of you are madly and hopelessly in love". She heard Fay say.

She groaned as she muttered a string of curses under her breath. For a moment she couldn't help but wonder what it was that she had gotten herself into. How she had gotten herself into it in the first place.

"We will be taking our leave now," Sev said to her in a gruff voice and she sighed as he grabbed a tight hold of her arm.

They made their way out of the room as she fought against the violent sparks that covered her flesh. Her skin erupted in fireworks and she did her best to ignore them.

Once they were out of the room she was quick to pull her hand out of his grip as she sent him a deep glare but he didn't seem to be bothered by her look.

"I do not appreciate you touching me against my will." She said to him in a hissing tone. She watched as he frowned at her briefly before giving her a shrug of his shoulders in response.

"Well if you are going to blat the part of my doubting obstinate bride then you will have no choice but to listen to what you say and I know this may be hard for you to come to terms with but that is the only way that you are going to get that revenge of yours". He said to her in a matter-of-fact tone.

She groaned as she sucked in a deep breath as she followed behind him out of the council room. For a moment her eyes flickered towards the vampire that had harassed her when she had come in but she didn't want him to notice the effect that he had on her so she chose not to meet his eye.

"Come on. My pack is a while away. It will take us a day with you trailing behind me so I suggest you follow me along now." He said to her. She sighed sucking in a deep breath before nodding her head at him intently.

They headed towards the forest in a thick bout of silence and she found herself occupied in her own thoughts. She couldn't help but wonder how she had gotten herself here. How it was that her life had been denounced to such a vague existence.

She felt almost saddened by it.

She was pulled out of her thoughts as she widened her eyes when she took in the sight of him starting to take off his shirt. Her eyes widened as she felt her wolf howl wildly in the back of her head.

"What are you doing?" She asked him in a panicked tone. She watches him pause for a moment as he turns towards her with a smirk on his face.

"I need to get ready to transform, no?" He asked her. She blushed as she slowly found herself nodding her head at him. She cursed herself internally for acting strange.

She sighed, turning to look away from him as she heard the sounds of bones cracking before she heard a soft groan come from behind her.

She turned back to come face to face with a giant black wolf with golden streaks of fur. His eyes were an enchanting red and he had long canines that peaked out from his top lips.

He growled as he lowered himself slowly to the ground as a gesture for her to climb on his back. She was hesitant at first but without thinking she got on.

She didn't know what waited for her at the end of her journey but she wasn't entirely sure she was ready for it.

She thrust her legs over each side of his huge body as she was met with the feeling of her thighs spread out over him. She knew that she had to take a moment to remind herself of the reason why she was doing all of this in the first place.

It wasn't about her or about the wolf that had his large form under her. It was about the man who had taken everything from her and the one she had to get her revenge on. It was almost pathetic of her to even consider the possibility of her giving him another chance. The only escape for him was a long and painful death.

She was thrust into a world that she didn't understand as she felt the wind in her hair and the thick fur that scratched her skin. They traveled for several hours and she could feel herself grow tired but just as she was about to pass out. She heard a ringing voice call out in her head.

"We are here".
