In a dark room, illuminated only by the uneven flickering of candles, people, hidden under cloaks and masks, lined up. Sinister shadows swayed on the walls, reflecting distorted silhouettes of the participants in a mysterious ritual.
The central element of the room was a massive table made of dark wood covered with a satin black tablecloth. An unusual pentagram was accurately drawn on the cloth, shimmering with silver threads.
Tarot cards, each wrapped in a mysterious meaning and ancient symbolism, were arranged at the five pentagram points. At one end lay the Wheel of Fortune, symbolizing abrupt changes and unexpected events. Next was the Card of Death, foretelling the end and a new beginning. Then came the Moon Card, with its secrets and deceit. Then the Lovers Card, indicating choices and doubts. And finally, the Justice Card, hinting at balance and justice.
Through the semi-darkness and swaying shadows, the participants of the ritual exchanged glances in anticipation of something."Let's begin," said one of them, placing the Fool card in the centre of the pentagram.
