Jordan was speechless.
'It's been more than a thousand years?' He thought. 'Does that mean everything and everybody from that timeline is gone?'
Thoughts of those people he considered as family flashed through his mind. He was an orphan and had no siblings in his past life and he only had a few friends that made his life worth living. Now those people are most likely six feet under.
He shoved those thoughts aside because he didn't want to admit he missed them.
'Come to think of it, this timeline seems more advanced in technology than a thousand years ago.' He expressed his findings since returning.
Although he hadn't been outside the house yet, he felt that was the case due to the Callas mansion. Most of their appliances were run by Power Stones.
Jordan noticed a gem on the ceiling above them. It was the source of light in the room. He didn't know what it was but after looking at it for three seconds, he received a system notification.
[Power Stones]
[These are gems found in the core of Earth and other planets. They are used to produce energy for gadgets or appliances as used in this case. By absorbing the energy from these stones, one can enhance their physical abilities and replenish their mana points.]
'Speaking of abilities, you said I've been granted "Infinite powers" but hey. I don't see any.' Jordan pouted.
[The host's abilities will be unlocked at a certain age.]
'At what age will it be unlocked then?' Jordan asked.
[At a certain age.]
'Pfft. Why is this damn system being secretive?' Jordan scoffed.
"I'm back." Luna chirped as the sound of her footsteps got closer to Jordan's crib. Instinctively, Jordan shut his eyes and pretended to be asleep. A few seconds later, Luna looked into his crib and noticed he was "fast asleep", so she left me alone.
'Phew. That was close.'

Growing up, Jordan lived like a king in the Callas mansion. Luna truly fulfilled her promise of spoiling him. Although he got anything he wanted, he didn't ask for much since he knew that it was just by pure luck that he was born into a wealthy family like his.
When he was four, Luna gave birth to his sister, Layne. She looked exactly like her dad with her light brown hair and purple eyes. People always emphasized how Jordan looked very different from Layne and his parents, but he didn't mind. Jordan treated his sister like fiberglass and because of this, Layne adored Jordan.
There was one problem though. Layne was born with an odd power. One that humanity feared. The power of destruction and creation. It was odd to have two contrasting powers in a normal human. At first, Jordan thought that she was one of the Guardians, but his system said otherwise. In the meantime, a special hand glove was made by specialized craftsmen for Layne. She put it on most of the time and people didn't think much of it because it looked like normal with her clothing.
One day, when Jordan was ten, he stood at the school gate after a long day of school, waiting for Bob, his driver. The weather showed signs of hostility and he knew he wasn't meant to stand in the open like so but since people didn't know he was related to the 'influential Callas family', he felt somewhat safe.
He got impatient as time passed and he decided to walk back home. While he was walking past a park that was close to his school, he heard chuckles from the playground. At first, he wanted to ignore it, but he thought it was odd that kids were out playing when it was about to rain. He looked towards the area where he heard the chuckles and noticed a girl with messy silver hair crouching with her face buried in her knees and she was surrounded by four girls who seemed to be her bullies.
"Hey. Shouldn't we let her go before we get caught?" One of the girls asked, feeling guilty about her actions.
"Nah. It's about to rain. No one's gonna catch us." Another girl said without hesitation.
Hearing the last comment, Jordan felt disgusted. What did she do to deserve this type of treatment? He snuck into the park and hid behind a huge structure.
"Hey. What's going on here?" He said with a deep voice. The girls didn't even bother checking who said those words. They picked up their bags and ran home.
'Hmm. That was way easier than I thought.'
Jordan walked towards the girl who was still in her crouched position.
"They're gone. You can get home now." He said with a calm voice.
The girl looked up at her savior and shook her head. "I'm waiting for my brother, Kaemon." She muttered. "He said he would come get me."
Jordan looked into her teary eyes and felt pity for her, but he couldn't get his eyes off them because there was something strange about them. One of her eyes was blue while the other was grey. Heterochromia was very rare, and this was his first time meeting someone who had this condition.
Snapping out of his daze, he reached out for her hand but before her hand could touch his ...
"Xylia, I've been looking for you. What are you doing in this park and who is this boy?" A boy who looked exactly like the girl asked. They were very identical, and it was obvious they were twins.
"He helped me out. Don't worry, I just fell." Xylia lied. It looked like Kaemon wasn't buying it, but he let it slide. He took Xylia's hand and led her out of the park. Before they left, he glared at Jordan for a few seconds. Meanwhile, Jordan smiled brightly at him.

"This life is so boring," Jordan commented, looking up at the ceiling in his room. He thought so because, if this was his past life, he wouldn't be as idle as he was now. He smirked as thoughts of him fighting multiple battles in the past resurfaced.
Currently, he was sixteen years old, yet he hadn't found any of the Guardians and nothing eventful had happened in his life. At first, he wanted to become a hunter and hunt for Power Crystals, but the thought eventually left him. Now, he wanted to get enrolled in military school, but he didn't know how to tell his parents that. Especially Luna who was always concerned about his 'perfect skin' and other things like that.
'With my current stats, I might be able to get past the first evaluation in military school.' He thought, selecting the personal info option on his system.
[PERSONAL INFO]
[Name: Jordan Callas]
[Age: 15 years]
[Guardian title: Undiscovered]
[Level 2]
[Exp: 27/100]
'Is this a glitch or what?' He thought, referring to the fact that the system said he was fifteen when he was actually sixteen. In the end, he concluded it was just a glitch. He went on to look at his stats.
[STATS]
[Strength: 25]
[Agility: 22]
[Vitality:20]
[Health points: 200/200]
[Intelligence:30]

Jordan felt annoyed that he was the only person in his family that didn't have an ability or skill. Yet, he was meant to be a "Guardian" of some sort. Aside that, he was grateful that his base stats were useful. With his current stats, he could join military school on a good note.

In a huge room in the Callas mansion, cute girly interiors could be seen all over. It was clear that it was Layne's room.
Layne was sitting at a desk with headphones on. Loud music blasted into her ears at a high volume. Unexpectedly, she twitched when she felt the presence of someone reaching for her throat. She swiftly moved her head to the side and turned to look at the attacker, but he was wearing a black mask that covered his entire face.
She jumped out of the seat she was sitting on and lifted it in the air. With one swift move, she swung it downward in an attempt to hit the stranger, but he jumped out of the way, making it crash onto the floor. Layne had a lot of skills for a twelve-year-old. She opened her mouth to scream for help but before she could, the stranger got behind her with great speed and had one hand over her mouth. Then with his second hand, he held her two hands behind her. She struggled but his grip was too strong.
The stranger quickly led her to the door, filled with delight that he had completed his mission without getting caught. He was surprised that he didn't get a signal from his comrade that was stationed outside the door when Layne hit the seat on the tiles.
Her room door opened slowly and instead of seeing his comrade on the other side, he was greeted by a firm fist planted in his face that knocked him out in an instant.
Jordan had heard the loud sound of the seat hitting the tiles, so he rushed to his sister's room, but someone was standing at her door. Dealing with him was quite easy. A simple kick to the temple was enough to knock him out!
'Weak,' was the only thing he thought of the two.
He was taller than Layne, so he squatted to get to her level.
"Are you okay?" He asked, checking her body for any injuries.
"Don't worry bro. It wasn't a full-on fight so I'm mostly alright." She smiled, patting Jordan's shoulder to reassure him. "The real question is who are they and how did they get in without the guards noticing?"
Layne had a point. Guards were stationed all around the mansion so they couldn't imagine the possibility of a break-in without them knowing but Jordan had a feeling that they had used their abilities to get past the guards.
Layne and Jordan felt safe now but the tensed up once again when they heard noises from coming from their parent's bedroom. They hurried towards their room which was close to Layne's but by the time they got there, the strangers had already been dealt with. He wasn't entirely shocked because he knew his parent's combat skills were top class.
Luna dragged two bodies out of the room and smiled at her children.
"Oh." She dropped the bodies. "Chris, the kids are alright."
Chris dragged two more bodies with him and stared at his wife in disbelief. How could she smile in such a situation?
Jordan went into their room to check how the intruders got in but there was no clue so he concluded that they had used abilities to get in.
"I think you guys need to tighten the security." He said referring to his parents.
Luna tilted her head. "Did you see something?"
"If you're talking about the black van I see around the mansion often, then yes. I think they've been targeting us for a while now," he began. Now they were all listening intently to what he had to say.
"Did you realize that they went to all the rooms except mine?" Jordan asked, pacing back and forth like a detective.
"They did?" Layne asked.
He nodded. "My guess is they wanted to deal with you guys then me right after. Unfortunately, they weren't strong enough. "
"But don't worry. I've come up with an easy solution."
He didn't know if what he had planned would work but he decided to give it a shot.
"And that is?" Chris inquired.
"I want to move out and join military school," Jordan said, expecting his parents to agree as usual but of course, things don't always work out as planned.
"What?!" Layne and Luna shouted simultaneously.
"It's no big deal. We'll just not live in the same building from now on. Besides, whoever attacked us will probably know I moved out, so they'll not attack anymore." Jordan tried convincing them. What he said wasn't entirely true because the attackers might decide on using his family as bait to lure him out. He knew this but he also knew that Layne and Luna always believed whatever he said. But then again, there was Chris.
Chris also thought of the possibility of them being used as bait and he knew it was probably a bad idea, but he had already made a choice.
"I think it's a great idea." He said, shocking all three of them. Jordan certainly did not expect Chris to be on his side. He smirked. No matter how much Luna didn't like the choice, she always agreed with Chris, so she folded her arms like an angry child and looked away from Jordan.
"Fine." She pouted.
Meanwhile, Layne was having a hard time dealing with the fact that she was going to be separated from Jordan but seeing the determined look on his face, she just nodded in approval.
"Now the only thing I need is an apartment."
"Oh. Actually, we own a mini-mansion on the borders of town." Chris replied almost immediately.
"But it's too far." Luna whined.
"I'll take it anyways." Jordan said.
Luna was bummed that no one was considering her opinions but since this was what Jordan wanted, she cooperated. Chris and Jordan finalised everything and he was to leave in a week.
Later that night, Jordan was in his room by midnight with his eyes wide open. From on outsider's point of view he looked possessed as he stared at the ceiling (this had become a habit). In reality, he was interacting with Max through his system. Yes, the pretty doctor with green eyes. Being Jordan's personal assistant from the council, he wanted to know somethings about him from his past life.
"So tell me, what was your occupation in your past life?" Max asked.
"I was a normal guy who enjoyed fights." He said, flexing his non-existent muscles then his brows furrowed in disappointment when he remembered that this body was nothing like his old one.
Max cleared his throat before asking the next question. "What exactly did that Tango person have against you?"
This particular question hit Jordan like a ton of bricks. He didn't know what had caused the fight. Memories of his past life flashed through his mind. Memories of how an old friend of his killed him for an unknown reason.
"I.... I really have no idea." He replied in all sincerity.
