CHAPTER 5

AM NOT AFRAID OF ANYTHING, THAT'S JUST THE WAY I AM:

many people think that they can never be afraid of anything therefore making them think that they naturally can't be afraid of anything which Is totally nonsense.

Well for enlightment let me quickly do a brief summerisation of what fear actually is.

Fear is a natural and biological emotion we all experience and it's healthy to us because it keeps us safe. Fear also is one of the seven human emotions which makes us the humans that we are. Even animals are prone to intense fear when there are threatened in any way, regardless of whether they are predators or prey. Therefore a human saying that they don't feel fear for anything is either mentally and physically ill or they are just blabbering.

I myself have great fears and one of my greatest fear is what the future hold in store for me. That can be the scariest thing to ever exist (fear of the unknown). So when I hear someone saying that they do not fear literally anything, the first thing that comes to my mind is "crap, that is bullshit" because how can a well functioning human being live without fear?

WHAT DO PEOPLE FEAR MOST?

Many scholars suggest that the one thing we humans fear the most is DEATH. we are so anxious to face its inevitability that we fill our lives completely as a means to ignore or evade it. Death is one of the only things we know is for certain, and yet the uncertainty of it is what truly terrifies us.

Other things we fear are:

1. Fear of failure

2. Fear of rejection

3. Fear of change

4. Fear of imperfection

5. Fear of vulnerability

6. Fear of loneliness and

7. Fear of time.

After seeing all these even a young child will know that it is basically impossible to not fear any single one of these talk more of not fearing any one of them.

Finally what am trying to say is that if you think you fear nothing then you are highly mistaken or you are mentally and physically ill. But for those who experience fear, just know that being scared is normal for anyone buh taking it too far may lead to chronic fear or pain which you don't wish to experience.

Therefore we all should be mindful.
