Matilda made the decision to stay in Na-ze's apartment, hopeful that he would allow her to stay. She settled herself near the wall by the window, feeling a warm blush on her cheeks as she contemplated whether she should join Na-ze in his bed. With a surge of courage, she decided to sleep next to him, wrapping her arms around him and savoring the feeling of his warm blood circulating and his steady heartbeat. Matilda cherished the moment and quickly drifted off to sleep.
The following morning, Na-ze awoke and rubbed his eyes. As he glanced to his side, he noticed Matilda peacefully asleep beside him. He simply ignored her presence, treating it as a normal occurrence. Proceeding with his daily routines, Na-ze brushed his teeth and prepared breakfast. After completing these tasks, he took a shower and changed into a fresh school uniform, preparing for the day ahead.
After completing his bath, Na-ze sat down to have breakfast. Just as he was eating, Matilda began to stir, rubbing her eyes as she looked around for Na-ze. He called out to her, informing her that he had made breakfast and offered her some. Matilda, still groggy and unsure, asked Na-ze why he had done this for her. With a calm expression, Na-ze simply replied that he thought she might be hungry.
Caught off guard, Matilda explained that as a vampire, she didn't eat human food as it tasted awful to her kind. Na-ze nodded in understanding but then looked directly into Matilda's eyes and stated, "I figured that, but remember, you are human now." Confused, Matilda questioned if he was joking. Na-ze reassured her and pointed towards a nearby mirror, urging her to take a look for herself. Matilda's confusion grew as she examined her reflection, realizing that her fangs were no longer there.
Matilda's reaction was one of shock and confusion. She exclaimed, "What the hell! Where did my fangs go?" Eager to find answers, she approached Na-ze, her face both flushed and filled with bewilderment. Na-ze, maintaining his calm demeanor, explained that when she had drunk his blood, it had turned her back into a human. However, she still retained the super abilities of a vampire, such as super strength, heightened senses, and blood manipulation. This revelation left Matilda astonished and captivated by what Na-ze had just revealed.
With a neutral expression, Na-ze further explained that Matilda would no longer feel any hunger towards humans since she had become a human herself. Her only means of sustenance now would be consuming human food.
Suddenly, a loud rumble echoed through the room, indicating Matilda's growling stomach. Na-ze calmly pointed out where the food was, telling her it was there for her to eat. Matilda approached the designated spot where Na-ze had placed the food and brought it back to the table, joining Na-ze in his breakfast.
Taking her first bite, Matilda's eyes widened in astonishment as she discovered that human food no longer tasted awful to her. It was a pleasant surprise. Overwhelmed by the delicious flavors, a single tear trickled down her cheek. She was momentarily frozen, savoring the taste and appreciating the gift of being able to enjoy food again.
As Matilda was lost in her astonishment, Na-ze's two cats approached him, meowing and circling around him. One of the cats jumped onto his lap, and he lovingly stroked its fur with a smile that emanated care and warmth. Matilda was taken aback, witnessing Na-ze's display of affection towards his furry companions. To her surprise, one of the cats jumped onto her lap, meowing softly, before snuggling close to her.
It was a new experience for Matilda to have a cat on her lap, and she delicately petted the furry creature. As she caressed the cat, a sense of comfort and warmth washed over her, a feeling she had never experienced before. She handled the cat with care and gentleness, finding happiness in the connection.
Na-ze, noticing Matilda's distraction, reminded her, "Hey, your food is going to get cold. You should start eating." Matilda listened attentively and proceeded to enjoy her breakfast, relishing in every mouthful. With a twinkle in her eye, she exclaimed, "Wow, I never thought human food could taste this amazing," her tone taking on a flirtatious quality as she tried to seduce Na-ze, revealing her true feelings for him. Na-ze, however, paid no attention to her advances, focusing instead on finishing his own meal.
Once they both finished their dishes, Na-ze swiftly picked up both plates and headed towards the sink to clean them. Matilda watched in awe as he effortlessly cleaned the dishes. In that moment, she fell even more in love with him, her heart fluttering as she absentmindedly curled a strand of her hair, captivated by his presence.
After finishing the task of cleaning the dishes, Na-ze grabbed his bag and kindly informed Matilda, "Hey, there's some cat food stored above the sink cabinet. Make sure to feed Kelly and Drums before I leave." With a composed demeanor, Na-ze left the apartment, making his way towards school.
As he walked, Na-ze eventually reached the school gates, observing a distressing scene unfolding nearby. A female student, one year below his grade level, was being bullied by a group of girls. Concerned for her well-being, Na-ze intervened, firmly instructing the bullies to stop their hurtful behavior. Realizing Na-ze's authority, the girls quickly dispersed.
Na-ze then turned his attention to the young lady who had been bullied. He offered her a helping hand, assisting her in picking up her scattered books. Touched by the unexpected kindness, the girl found herself overcome with tears, seeking solace against the wall.
Na-ze gently placed his hand on the head of the girl who had been bullied and spoke softly, "Why are you feeling so sad? Remember, you don't have to let any insults affect you. In the end, opinions hold little significance." His wise words started sinking into the young woman's mind, causing her eyes to widen as she absorbed his advice.
Continuing with kindness, Na-ze encouraged the girl to overcome her insecurities and embrace personal growth. He assured her that as humans, everything we do can sometimes be nothing more than meaningless rants. "You see," he explained, "it doesn't matter if someone meant those hurtful words. Live your life without being tied down, and find joy in the freedom to be yourself. You don't have to let their words dictate your happiness. Stand strong and pursue what truly fulfills you."
Touched by his words, the young lady looked down for a moment, her eyes filled with newfound hope. "Ohara," she said with a faint smile, introducing herself to Na-ze. "My name is Ohara."
The bell rang, signaling the end of the break. Na-ze hastily gathered her books and gently said, "Here you go, let's head inside." Na-ze left the scene, making his way back into the school building, followed by most of the other students who had been outside.
After walking through the hallway for a brief moment, Na-ze finally spotted his classroom and walked inside. Upon entering, he noticed that many of their classmates were gathered around Akane, showering her with praise for her impressive skills in defending herself against a boy who had tried to attack her. Na-ze calmly disregarded the commotion, proceeding to his seat and settling down. He glanced out the window next to him, then noticed the teacher had arrived.
As the teacher entered, the students returned to their seats, no longer crowding around Akane. Akane, in turn, noticed that Na-ze was already present in the classroom.
When the lesson began, Akane's gaze wandered towards Na-ze. As she glanced at him through the window, a thought popped into her mind, "He doesn't seem very interested... Strange guy."
However, their attention was soon diverted when the principal's voice came through the speakers, interrupting the teacher. The principal called upon all the teachers in the room for a meeting, and as a result, the teacher had to leave.
Upon hearing the news, the students couldn't contain their excitement and erupted in cheers, exclaiming, "Yes! Hahaha! We don't have anything to do. This is great!"
Kajiwara turned to Akane and proposed, "Hey, wanna play a game? This is the perfect time since the teacher is usually out." It was common for students to engage in group games like Truth or Dare during such moments.
Without hesitation, Kajiwara called out to their classmates, "Hey guys, wanna play Truth or Dare?" Their classmates responded with enthusiasm, agreeing, "Sure, why not?"
Gathering around in the middle of the class, they established the ground rules, with someone emphatically saying, "Hey, you guys must never lie when the truth is asked."
