Keira Leaf couldn't help feeling a surge of anxiety and wanted to phone home, only to realize that she didn't even know the landline number.
She immediately asked Max Sully, "Max, can you drive faster? Joshua Sulliven hasn't been answering my calls. I'm worried something might have happened to him."
"Sure."
Despite his disdain and suspicion that Joshua might be intentionally ignoring her calls,
Max had learned his lesson from last time and decided not to speak ill of Joshua in front of Keira to avoid tarnishing his image in her heart.
The car sped through the streets, and by 3 o'clock, Keira had arrived at home.
Hurrying to the second floor, she caught sight of his figure in front of the floor-to-ceiling window from a distance and felt slightly relieved, slowing her pace.
"I called you, but you didn't answer," Keira said softly as she approached him from behind.
Hearing her words, Joshua lowered his eyes and said coldly, "Where did you go?"
Keira was silent.
