Keira Leaf's nose tingled with sourness as she looked at the man before her, his expression tinged with a hint of pleading, her heart feeling as if it had been hollowed out.
Bowing her head, Keira pulled her suitcase, intending to walk past Joshua Sulliven and leave.
In desperation, Joshua reached out to grab her, "Please don't go. There will be a cornea, there has to be."
"What does it matter if there is a cornea? Professor Lewis has said, those who have such a low probability of rejection occurring, even if they undergo a second or third transplant, it will still happen again."
Listening to her indifferent tone, Joshua felt unprecedented panic.
Suddenly, he deeply regretted, why did he have to bring up these issues with her today? Could it be that if he had chosen to continue to ignore them, she would not have thought about leaving?
"Don't go... Give me just one more chance, just once..." Joshua pleaded in a low voice.
Keira's eyes welled up, "Joshua, you fool."
