Max Sully glanced at Joshua Sulliven and said with a smile, "I wonder what brought Young Master Sulliven here?"
Joshua Sulliven's face grew increasingly ugly as his narrow eyes all but shot out murderous flames, especially when he thought of Max's earlier claim that Keira Leaf was his woman, making him wish he could kill Max Sully right then and there.
And yet, at this moment, he was unable to speak up for Keira Leaf. He could neither say she had nothing to do with him nor claim she was his woman. Instead, he had to endure others' slander against her!
Max Sully had no interest in Joshua Sulliven's response. He was merely provoking him on purpose.
He then turned and walked toward Keira Leaf, who was standing next to Arthur Sydney, wrapped an arm around her slender waist, and pulled her into his embrace.
Keira Leaf stiffened, forgetting how to react for a moment, and by the time she regained her senses, she didn't know how to respond.
