Keira Leaf's body stiffened, resting lightly against his chest, and for a moment she felt somewhat dazed.
"It's not you who lost, it's clearly me who lost." Joshua Sulliven lowered his eyes and gently stroked Keira Leaf's soft hair.
A layer of mist covered Keira's eyes, she didn't know what was going on with herself. During her six years in prison, she had stopped believing in tears, and she had rarely cried. But ever since she began to have feelings for Joshua, she became even more vulnerable.
Perhaps, this is what love does; it gives people both a weak spot and armor.
But, can she still trust him?
"I don't understand." Keira sniffed and spoke softly.
Joshua gently lifted her head, allowing her to look into his eyes. Keira quietly looked into Joshua's eyes, which were filled with red blood vessels, slightly reddened, yet filled with tenderness and a reassuring strength at this moment.
