Seeing her about to head out the door, Joshua Sulliven, who had been quietly listening to her movements, could no longer sit still. He stood up and spoke to her somewhat uneasily, "It's not good for the stomach to be empty."
Keira Leaf was taken aback, looked up at him, and noticed the concern in his gaze. Her heart softened, and she stopped putting on her clothes.
Joshua stood in front of the table, watching her. The breakfast on the table seemed to have just been served, steaming hot. Keira withdrew her gaze and sat down silently at the dining table after a moment's hesitation.
A faint glimmer of joy flashed in Joshua's eyes. Only then did he sit down beside her and start to eat quietly.
Neither of them spoke. They sat across from each other, heads down, mostly just seeing each other's chopsticks moving.
Joshua picked some mixed vegetables and placed them in Keira's bowl without a word, just sitting quietly opposite her.
