Hearing Keira Leaf's footsteps, Tristan Leaf looked up at her, his eyes lighting up, and with a tug on the rope in the car, he ran towards her with "open door" in tow.
Keira hurriedly squatted down to embrace him, and Tristan threw himself heavily into her arms.
Before she could even speak, Tristan's tears burrowed into her shoulder, droplets cascading endlessly from his grape-like, glossy eyes: "Mum..."
Seeing him shedding tiny golden beans, Keira also panicked slightly and quickly picked him up: "It's mommy's fault for making Jack worry. Next time mommy has something to do, I'll be sure to tell Jack first, okay?"
Tristan raised his hand to wipe away his tears, staring with his watery eyes and pouting his little mouth, seemingly feeling wronged.
Keira kissed his small face and held him all the way back to the room, guessing that it was probably because last night she had called Lucas Taylor and afterward, the adults began to fret and bustle around, making him uneasy as well.
