Martha Barnes tilted her head back, her disheveled black hair framing her delicate and moving face, making it even more pitiable and lovely.
She looked up into Lily's eyes, black and penetrating, filled with a hint of confusion and expectation.
Lily only felt a tremble at the tip of her heart, thinking that even if Erina asked her to reveal the truth or to back off right then, she would nod without hesitation.

Thinking it was going to be some sort of request, she merely wanted her company.
Lily couldn't refuse, "Of course I can. Come on, dry your tears first, I'll stay with you."
Perhaps those who become mothers just naturally exude maternal love, for looking at Martha, she suddenly felt a sense of responsibility to protect her.
