Hudson Evans looked at his baby daughter with frustration, mixed with pity as she cried. He quickly reached down to help her up from the ground and guided her to sit on the sofa.
"You are my only baby daughter, how could I bear to see you suffer? If this marriage is to be called off, it should be the Evans Family who does it, not Chester Yale to despise my daughter!"
"No!" Misha Evans raised her head in an emotional outburst, her eyes full of panic. She grasped Hudson's hand tightly and shook her head desperately, "I've set my heart on Chester for life, I won't marry anyone but him. Dad, please beg him not to cancel the engagement, I don't want to call it off..."
"Misha, what nonsense are you talking about?" Hudson frowned, his facial expression all gloomy.
