"I was terrified, have a cup of tea to calm down," Grace Yakov carefully moved a tea cup in front of the distracted Ella Jackson.
Seeing her regain her composure, she smiled faintly at her and spoke softly, "I heard you say yesterday that you're older than Evelyn Sherman, what's that about?"
"Me?" Ella was startled, her eyes meeting Grace's as if she'd been suddenly called out by a teacher, a look of panic on her face.
It took a moment for her to realize what Grace Yakov had just said, her expression changing slightly.
She picked up the tea cup in front of her, eager to take a sip.
"Careful, it's hot!"
"Hiss—" Grace's warning came a step too late, Ella took a sip of the hot tea and immediately jumped up from her chair, sticking out her tongue, looking pitiful.
"Let me see if your tongue got blisters," Evelyn quickly stood up and walked over to her.
