"I do! I'm so obsessed that I can't eat or sleep, and all my dreams are about you!" Evelyn Sherman's nerves tingled as she blurted out the lie without blushing or being out of breath.
These past two days, she had been occupied with caring for her father and Grace Yakov; she had no time to think about him.
"Good girl, you should be thinking about me." Chester Yale had no idea what was really on her mind, but, satisfied, he pinched her cheeks and then led her out of the hospital room.
"Let's go eat."
She must have been watching Eddy Sherman for hours and probably missed lunch.
It was a perfect opportunity to accompany him.
Without leaving any room for objection, Chester Yale pulled Evelyn out of the hospital and walked toward a nearby restaurant.
