"The phone number you have dialed is switched off, please try again later..." The mechanical announcement coldly cut off Evelyn Sherman's last hope.
She stubbornly dialed again.
The same notification sound rang, and her eyes suddenly turned red.
"Bastard! Why did you turn off your phone..." Evelyn cursed under her breath, puffing out her cheeks in frustration.
He was obviously fine, but since he returned to the Yale Family, why wouldn't he acknowledge her, and even refuse to meet her secretly?
Didn't he ever think that she would miss him and want to see him?
Forget it! She would never call him again in the future!
Evelyn hung up the phone, stuffed her cell phone into her pocket, and walked into the hotel.
Back in her room, seeing the cold dishes on the table, she lost her appetite and felt even more miserable.
