"Hmm, she must be changing clothes then..." Chester Yale said nonchalantly.
When mentioning the word "clothes," the corner of his mouth curved up in a half-smile.
Soon after, faint footsteps came from the direction of the staircase.
These footsteps were slow, as if the person wasn't walking, but shuffling forward.
As soon as the two little ones saw Evelyn Sherman emerging from the stairs, they immediately widened their eyes in excitement, "Evelyn!"
"Sit still, no running around." Chester Yale glanced at the two little ones who were about to climb out of their children's seats, and his eyes flashed with authority as he spoke.
Immediately, the two excited little ones obediently settled down.
However, their big, rolling eyes constantly glanced over at Evelyn Sherman.
Evelyn mechanically walked forward, sluggishly dragging her feet.
Just before reaching the dining room, she couldn't help but stretch out her hand to pull her skirt down a bit.
