Time seemed to freeze for a second.
The street lights changed, the traffic started to move, and the small figure across the street was momentarily obstructed from view.
Chester Yale snapped out of his shock and suddenly rushed towards the other side of the street.
The endless flow of cars blocked his way. By the time he reached the other side, the little buddy who had been standing there, staring at him, had vanished.
It was as if it had been just an illusion glimpsed through the smoke.
But that identical little face was deeply imprinted in his mind!
Chester glanced around, there were many pedestrians by the roadside, walking in different directions. Yet, there was no trace of a child.
He couldn't be certain if what he had seen was an illusion.

A mischievous ghost, carrying a conspicuous Beetle backpack, it was like his sign.
But he never saw Baby's face...
